Carpentry

This course is a certificate programme, accredited with the Construction Seta (CETA) following the unit standards in basic building principles. Candidates will receive a St. Anthony’s Certificate on successful completion of the course.

To plan and execute construction activity


Employment Opportunities

You will be marketable in the construction field as learners carpenters, apprentices or assistant carpenters.


Course content:

The course content is 90% practical training and 10% theory.

Safety/hand tools/power tools and housekeeping

Reading building drawings

Cutting / measuring and marking off

Scaffolding and ladders

Installing ceilings/skirting and hanging doors

Constructing roof structures
